A Christmas Carol,by Charles Dickens, Adapted by Lilyane Moyer - Ebenezer Scrooge by his very name is a selfish old miser who despite his wealth refuses to make charitable contributions and treats his sole employee Bob Cratchit with disdain.

One Christmas eve,Scrooge is visited by his long dead partner Jacob Marley who warns him that he will be doomed to an eternity of wandering the earth in shackles unless he changes.

Marley informs him that threeSpirits will visit him that night to take him through a journey of Christmases Past, Present and Yet to Come.

Only then does Scrooge see what a wretch he is and how he transformed from an idealistic youth to a greedy ogre. Scrooge

Friday September 12th

Having initially met in the Mohawk College jazz improvisation program,  a trio of guitar, bass and trumpet was formed exploring classic Jazz standards  and accompanying area vocalists.

This play is a community adventure and needs approximately 50 cast members to play minor and lead roles including: THE STORY TELLER, SCROOGE (AS A CHILD, A YOUNG MAN AND AN OLD MAN), JACOB MARLEY, 3 SPIRITS, NEPHEW FRED, MR. BAILIE, MR. ABEL, THE CRATCHIT FAMILY, BELLA, FAN, THE FEZZIWIG FAMILY, DICK WILKINS, OLD JOE, CHARWOMAN, LAUNDRESS, MANY TOWNSFOLK, BEGGARS AND POOR FOLK.
